Recall that Oba of Lagos humiliated the Ooni at a social function after the Ooni attempted greeting and he snubbed him, Oba Adeyeye has now revealed he will continue to respect him (Oba Rilwan) despite the humiliation at a social function.
Oba Adeyeye revealed this in an interview with Punch Newspaper, His full words below:
"Nobody should castigate anybody” for doing what he did on Tuesday because of the position he holds and because of his age… Ooni would not stop according his colleagues and every category of people the respect they deserve.
“The Ooni of Ife is not ready to make any official statement over what happened between him and Oba of Lagos. He still holds Oba Akiolu in high esteem and what happened yesterday will not stop the Ooni from holding him in high esteem."
