Recall yesterday, 9th of May 2017, the estranged couple were made to face a Magistrate court in Ogba, Lagos and was charged on three count offense which is -- breach of public peace, assault and causing grievous bodily harm on his wife.
A police inspector told the court of law that Mr. Lanre beats up his wife constantly and hit her nose repeatedly in the last assault in which Mercy couldn't help but cries out for public help. The act causes blood gushing out from her nose and requires surgery.
Lanre however pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in the like sum. As he couldn't meet up with the bail conditions yesterday, Lanre was sent to the Ikoyi prison until he fulfils his bail condition.
