Afro-Heritage Broadcasting and Entertainment Award (AHBEA) has honoured Odunlade Adekola, Kunle Afolayan, D1, Ella Mensa and others for their contribution to the African film industry.
Ella Mensa, who has featured in numerous Nigerian movies, was among several African actors who received recognition from the Afro Heritage award which was primarily established as a platform for actors of Nigerian descent.The award ceremony, which took place on the 20th of August, 2016 at Phoenix Hall, 15152 Bellaire Blvd, Houston TX, was to appreciate outstanding performance in entertainment & broadcasting industry.
Other distinguished honorees were Pete Edochie ,Sadiq Daba, Rev. Elizabeth Ameye , Desmond Elliott, Saidi Balogun, Fabian Olojede based in South Africa, Bimbo Oshin, Odunlade Adekola and Dayo D1 Adeneye.
